NASA's SpaceX 34th Commercial Resupply Services Rendezvous and Docking

After a successful launch on May 15, 2026, from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, a SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft will rendezvous with and dock to the International Space Station. The spacecraft, which is carrying about 6,500 pounds of cargo, is scheduled to dock autonomously at around 6:38 a.m. EDT (1038 UTC).

Dragon will deliver several new experiments, instruments and science investigations. These include a bone scaffold made from wood that could produce new treatments for fragile bone conditions like osteoporosis, a new instrument to study charged particles around the Earth that can impact power grids and satellites, and an investigation that could provide a fundamental understanding of how planets form, among others.

The spacecraft is scheduled to remain at the space station until mid-June, when it will depart the orbiting laboratory and return to Earth with time-sensitive research and cargo, splashing down off the coast of California.

Watch as the 34th SpaceX commercial resupply mission launches to the International Space Station. About 6,500 pounds of cargo are set to lift off at 6:05 p.m. EDT (2205 UTC) on May 15 from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida atop a Falcon 9 rocket. Teams stood down from the previous launch opportunity on May 13 due to inclement weather.

In addition to cargo for the crew aboard the space station, Dragon will deliver several new experiments, instruments and science investigations. These include a bone scaffold made from wood that could produce new treatments for fragile bone conditions like osteoporosis, a new instrument to study charged particles around Earth that can impact power grids and satellites, and an investigation that could provide a fundamental understanding of how planets form, among others.

Dragon is scheduled to dock autonomously to the forward port of the station’s Harmony module at about 7:00 a.m. EDT (1100 UTC) on Sunday, May 17. It is scheduled to remain at the space station until mid-June, when it will depart the orbiting laboratory and return to Earth with time-sensitive research and cargo, splashing down off the coast of California.

NASA astronaut Anil Menon is discussing his upcoming mission to the International Space Station — Menon's first spaceflight — in a live news conference at NASA's Johnson Space Center.

The Soyuz MS-29 mission, targeted to launch Tuesday, July 14, will carry Menon and his crewmates, Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina, to the International Space Station for an eight-month stay as part of Expeditions 74/75.

Selected as a NASA astronaut in 2021, Menon graduated with the 23rd astronaut class in 2024. Menon was born and raised in Minneapolis and is an emergency medicine physician, mechanical engineer, and colonel in the United States Space Force. Previously, Menon worked at SpaceX and served as the company’s first flight surgeon, helping to launch the first crewed Dragon spacecraft on NASA’s SpaceX Demo-2 mission in 2020 and building its medical organization to support humans on future missions.

Progress 95 Cargo Ship Docking

Progress 95 Cargo Ship Launch

The unpiloted Progress 95 resupply spacecraft is scheduled to lift off at 6:21 p.m. EDT (2221 UTC) on Saturday, April 25, on a Soyuz rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. After liftoff, Progress 95 will travel to the space station, a trip that takes two days. Once there, it will dock autonomously to the orbiting laboratory.

The Artemis II astronauts launched on April 1 for a journey of ten days that took them farther than any humans have traveled from Earth. On their Orion spacecraft, named Integrity, they flew around the Moon, making observations which will help enhance scientific understanding.

Artemis II is the first crewed flight test of NASA's Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft, testing the technologies we'll need for long-term lunar exploration and human missions to Mars.

Our Artemis II crew accomplished many milestones on their 10-day mission, surpassing the Apollo 13 record for farthest crewed spaceflight and capturing never-before-seen views of the far side of the Moon.

Under Artemis, NASA will send astronauts on increasingly difficult missions to explore more of the Moon for scientific discovery, economic benefits, and to build on our foundation for the first crewed missions to Mars.

Northrop Grumman's uncrewed Cygnus XL is scheduled to lift off on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket at 7:41 a.m. EDT (1141 UTC), Saturday, April 11, from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

Meet Artemis II Astronaut Reid Wiseman

Meet NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman, the commander aboard our Artemis II flight around the Moon.

Wiseman flew previously as a flight engineer aboard the International Space Station for Expedition 41 from May through November 2024, logging more than 165 days in space. Prior to his assignment, Wiseman served as chief of the Astronaut Office from December 2020 until November 2022.

As commander, Wiseman leads the crew aboard the flight.

Meet NASA astronaut Victor Glover, the pilot aboard our Artemis II flight around the Moon.

Glover previously served as pilot on NASA’s SpaceX Crew-1 mission, which landed on May 2, 2021, after 168 days in space. As a flight engineer aboard the space station for Expedition 64, he contributed to scientific investigations, technology demonstrations, and participated in four spacewalks.

As pilot of the mission, Glover is responsible for executing all space maneuvers.

A seasoned spacefarer, Koch served as flight engineer aboard the International Space Station for Expeditions 59, 60, and 61. Koch set a record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman, with a total of 328 days in space, and participated in the first all-female spacewalk.

As one of two mission specialists aboard the flight, Koch has trained for all roles so she can jump into action wherever she's needed.
